Description
This course provides opportunities for practicing the craft and art of imaginative writing. Students confront the elements of language, form, voice, and style that make up poetry, fiction, and personal essay. Exercises and models of professional and student writing are used to stimulate the imagination. Through the workshop process, students will also become sensitive to specific yet constructive commentary. This course may be taken in conjunction with English Literature & Composition for a full year of English credit. (Recommended for one-half English elective high school credit.)
