Description
Strategic Planning and Policy are tools to affect individual and organizational behavior. This seminar explores ideas about the nature and practice of planning and policy within the context of higher education organizations. The purpose of this seminar is to help participants better understand how to effectively use these tools. Effective policy makers and planners combine a keen conceptual understanding of the dynamics of planning and policy with a high degree of skill as an agent of change. Therefore, the plan for this seminar is to combine an examination of the conceptual literature on planning and policy, encourage discussions among participants, review case examples, and illustrate opportunities for personal application.
