Description
Discover some of Utah's magnificent bodies of water and learn about your surroundings during this natural water-based week of Club Ute. Explore shorelines, swim in the chilly waters, and learn about wildlife during a scenic trip to a Utah reservoir. Learn about the environment and why water is an important part of life. Participate in water games and water related sports. Practice new skills and learn more about your place in our environment. Take a learning adventure with the Rain Forest Van and see what types of plants and animals live in different parts of the world. Electives this week run all day, and may include canoeing, visiting the Jordanelle nature preserve, water-based art activities, hiking or water activities in the pool. Please notify instructors if your camper cannot swim so accommodations can be made. Please also remember to wear closed-toed shoes, bring sun block, a backpack and water bottles daily. Course content and curriculum is updated each semester so students can experience something new each summer.
