Description
Multivariate statistical techniques relevant to exploring structure in data sets. Techniques covered include the metric axioms and corresponding proximity constraints, types of scales of measurement, magnitude estimation, psychophysical methods, Thurstonian scaling, Guttman scaling, Coomb's unfolding technique, multidimensional scaling, cluster analysis, and factor analysis. Emphasis will be on the last three of these techniques.
