Description
Do you like to move at a river's pace, feel the mystery of nature and its silence, and have space to find the words to express your sensibilities? Enter the experience of timelessness, the source of inspired writing, as we combine exploration of the Green River and its ancient archaeological sites with creative and journal writing. Led by river guide Bruce Keeler and essayist, poet and archaeologist Martha Yates, the trip has a flexible itinerary to allow time for delving into the emotions and wonder that this wild river evokes. Within two miles of launch our canoes will enter Labyrinth Canyon, where we journey through some of the Southwest`s most spectacular landscapes. We'll hike to ancient ruins, mines, and pictograph/petroglyph sites, then enjoy guided and private time for writing, group gatherings, and personal relaxation. Special fee covers canoes, all meals, kitchen and river gear, all permits and fees, transportation from Moab, and guides. You will be responsible for your sleeping bag/tent and personal gear. No previous canoeing experience is necessary for this flatwater river.
