LLWRC 756 - Writing for Children

Become familiar with the many genres of writing for children, including pre-readers, younger picture books, older picture books, and easy readers. Students will study ?rules? for writing in each category, general guidelines for form and length, and information about how to approach publishers. Students will complete crafting exercises focusing on technical aspects of writing for children, including writing in a child?s voice and writing strong young characters.
