THEAT 3720 - History of Theatre

For Theatre Majors and Minors. Theatre Core Requirement. Upper Division Communication/Writing Emphasis. From Sophocles to Sheridan, the course examines European Theatre from its beginnings through the Renaissance. In addition to dramatic texts, students examine the impact of performance spaces, aesthetic theories, religious beliefs, and the contemporary politics of a given era on the development of drama.
