Description
This course covers the basic principles and applications of buying and managing materials and services in a business environment. It includes an overview of quality assurance, how to determine requirements, cost and price analysis, and supplier relationships. The legal aspects of purchasing as well as ethics will also be discussed. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to understand the procurement process, develop supplier management strategies, understand the difference between UCC and Common Law, learn how to negotiate purchases and contracts, understand the importance of freight, and function as a procurement team member. This course is endorsed by NAPM UTAH.
