ACCTG 6102 - Financial Reporting-learning to read between the lines

This course is user-oriented rather than preparer-oriented. It is intended to expand students' understanding of financial accounting and improve their ability to read and evaluate firms; financial statements using actual financial data from annual reports. Topics include assessing earnings quality and adjusting for the financial statement effects of alternative accounting methods and various forms of off-balance sheet financing.
