Description
An interdisciplinary course emphasizing the development of skills in history taking, physical examination, and basic procedures (x-ray reading, EKG interpretation, IV starting, blood drawing, airway management, etc.). It includes a variety of learning modalities and formats. Areas of focus include interdisciplinary functioning with members of the health care team, cultural and ethical issues in patient care, techniques in interpersonal communication, and clinical experiences designed to add perspective to the educational process.
