Description
The French, as we know, are arbiters of good taste. Could that be because they have centuries of fine food and wine to back them up? In this five-week taste treat, we'll find out for ourselves as we learn about and taste the wines and cheeses from a different region of France each week. Week five, we culminate with Champagne, and our treat that week will be champagne with a French dessert. Not a champagne aficionado? Attend the wine sections only (section 002). Please bring a photo ID that indicates your age to class. Zev is certified with the American Sommelier Association; he has been sommelier and beverage director at Jean-Georges, New York City; Butter, New York City; The Mercer Kitchen; New York City; and Frisson, San Francisco. Zev has studied and worked with cheeses in each location as well.
