Description
Turquoise water. White sand beaches. Exotic fish and birds. Colorful open markets. And everywhere, the complex rhythms of South American, African, and Caribbean music. Sound like paradise? Curacao, in the Dutch Caribbean, is often described this way. Gather your own slice of heaven when you join our photo exploration of Curacao's underwater and island treasures. Your trip will feature two boat dives each morning to world-famous coral gardens, walls, and underwater caves (snorkelers can enjoy the shallower reefs); three photo excursions to culturally intriguing and/or remote corners of the island; optional daily 'show and tell' sessions, in which our photo pro will critique photos and answer technical questions; and 1:1 'anytime' photo advice, to make sure your shots capture the beauty you see in and out of the water. Don't dive? Snorkeling and land photography will keep you busy. Not a photographer? Beachfront lodging in a small inn with a private beach and swimming pool; free shuttles to Willemstad, a city of such charm that it has been acknowledged as part of the cultural heritage of mankind; food and music to please the senses; and soft air that erases cares in minutes will make this vacation one anyone will cherish. Trip includes: 7 nights double-occupancy lodging; daily breakfast buffet; private white sand beach; swimming pool; aerobics room; daily shuttle to Willemstad; 12 boat dives, tanks, and PADI-certified guides; 3 land-based photo excursions; daily photo critiques and 1:1 consultation; land transportation; and most taxes/tips. You are responsible for travel to Curacao, lunches and dinners, personal dive/snorkeling/camera equipment, underwater cameras are available for rent), personal purchases, and departure tax. Neil is a certified diver and a former underwater photography instructor; he has been a professional photographer for 30 years.
