Description
She said, he said, and then they both said some more. The question is whether what is being said moves your story along-or even if it's meant to. Join us in this new class as we explore how to develop a character through his/her conversation, how to make that dialogue sound real, and the ways dialogue can fill out your story. We will look at screenplays, fiction, non-fiction, and teleplays as well as work with dialogue in and out of class to explore techniques to help our characters really contribute to our stories. Kim has an MFA in creative writing from Mills College, California. Kim's Appalachian upbringing provides the basis for her dialogue-rich short stories, several of which have been published in literary magazines.
