MGT 2350 - Business Statistics II

This practical course uses the essential tools and concepts of Six Sigma as a unifying framework. Discussion topics include design of experiments, goodness of fit, contingency tables, correlation analysis, nonparametric statistics, and an introduction to statistical process control. Moreover, hands-on skill is acquired for the development and interpretation of regression models fro functional areas of accounting, finance, marketing and operations with a focus on depth rather than breadth of the subject material. Microsoft Excel is used for computations with emphasis on interpretation of computer output. A comprehensive case integrating the essentials of course tools is prescribed as the end-of -term project. Business cases are used throughout the term for reinforcement purposes.
