Description
Get a great workout and more as we explore hip hop from its roots up in this energetic and culturally aware class. 'Hip hop' refers to both a musical and political movement that has developed predominantly over the last quarter-century. Since first emerging in New York City in the `70s, hip-hop has grown to encompass not just music, but an entire lifestyle that incorporates diverse elements of ethnicity, technology, and urban life. Now you have the opportunity to experience the hip hop culture through unique and detailed instruction by Eddie Santos. You will learn steps and combinations as well as 'popping and locking' and the body movement that sets hip hop apart from other dances. By the end of class, you'll be ready to show off what you've learned at a night club or party!
