Description
Our city's beautiful backyard contains miles and miles of hiking trails that pass through meadows and aspen groves, by lakes and river gorges, and in the midst of the mighty Wasatch mountains. Enjoy the scenic splendor and the company of others as we take bi-monthly weekday hikes on gentle to moderate terrain (focus will be on lesser known trails and areas). Explore or renew the vital connection with nature that calms the mind; learn to see, appreciate, and identify wildflowers; feel the benefits of healthy fresh air and physical exercise; and relax with new friends at each beautiful lunch spot. Questions? Call Ellie at 272-2426. Please register by Wednesday, June 6. You will receive information about meeting places and what to bring upon registration. Ellie is a retired school teacher; she has been exploring the Wasatch for more than 30 years, as well as working toward the preservation of its land, flora, and fauna. Let Ellie show you the Wasatch's hidden gems.
