Description
Enjoy the camaraderie of women as you work on climbing technique and other related skills in beautiful Maple Canyon. We will meet at Maple at 9:30 AM and, under the guidance of Exum Utah guides, work on footwork, hand placements, body tension, balance, reading routes, and more. All climbing will be on toprope; women with the interest and ability to lead may do so with a toprope back-up belay. Suitable for beginning to intermediate climbers; we will have access to routes ranging from 5.4 to 5.10. Our low student-guide ratio assures plenty of climbing and lots of personal attention. Fees include all technical climbing gear, dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday, and all camping fees. You are responsible for your climbing shoes (available for rent at the U's Outdoor Recreation Center, REI, and other locations), personal camping equipment, lunches/snacks, and transport to Maple Canyon (we encourage carpools and will assist in forming them). Directions to Maple Canyon (about 1.5 hours south of Salt Lake City) and campsite information will be sent to participants in advance.
