Description
There's a reason the Utah Shakespearean Festival won the 2000 Tony Award for Best Regional Theater. See great Shakespeare and appreciate it even more with daily discussions led by Shakespeare and theater aficionado Michele Margetts. Special fee includes tickets for Othello, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Taming of the Shrew as well as two nights lodging, one lunch, and two dinners. The class meets Thursday June 19 for an overview of the three Shakespeare plays including historical context, detailed information about plot, character, and nuances that will give you a greater understanding and appreciation of the performances. We will then depart at 7:00 am on June 24 for Cedar City and return Thursday June 26 in the afternoon. Excellent seats are also available for $39 to the matinee performance of Fiddler on the Roof. You must register by Wednesday, May 21. Michele received her Ph.D. from Yale University in Renaissance Studies.
