Description
Memorable and resonant characters make for compelling stories. In addition to sharing your writing in a fun, supportive atmosphere, this workshop will get you thinking about how characters are shaped and developed through description, dialogue, and action. We?ll also talk about concepts such as point-of-view, narrative stance, and the harder-to-define questions of charisma and voice. Jenn is professional writer and editor with an MFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University. Her character-driven stories have appeared in the literary magazines Blueline, Heartlands Today, and The Chattahoochee Review. This class is limited to 12. Please bring a work in progress to the first class?fiction, creative nonfiction/memoir, and poetry are all welcome.
