Description
This course provides an intensive review of theoretical and methodological frameworks for assessing and improving programs and practices that enhance student learning, development, and retention during college. It review research and successful practices that address the extent to which and the processes through which college influences the retention and graduation of students. Critically examines ideas of socialization and integration and considers new ways to conceptualize and asses engagement in higher education, particularly for historically underrepresented students. Meets with 6560. Students enrolled in 7560 will be held to a higher standard and my be assigned additional coursework.
