Description
Meets with BALLE 4420. This is a studio-based course, designed to train dancers how to work in a cohesive and responsible way as a group. Skills of learning and adapting choreography are developed. Classical, neo-classical, or original choreography (varies each term) may be incorporated for this purpose, thus also serving an additional purpose of familiarizing dancers with repertoire. In addition, graduate students are required to assume the role of a ballet master, researching historical aspects, choreographic differences, staging nuances, and exploring the rehearsal process among other things.
