Prerequisite: Matriculation into the baccalaureate nursing program.
Description
The purpose of this course is to increase student proficiency in collecting comprehensive assessment data on individuals and families. The course incorporates a variety of approaches, techniques and skills necessary to interpret assessment data and risk factors from individuals and families at various points in health and illness. Emphasis is placed on integrating previous experience and knowledge regarding human behavior and development across the lifespan. The clinical aspect of this course will be performed with individuals and families in a student selected clinical setting with faculty approval.
