Description
This course provides students with the key concepts and proficiency skills necessary to serve as substance abuse counselors in their practicum placements and in the field upon graduation. These include the twelve core functions of substance abuse counseling, and a thorough understanding of prevention strategies. This course must be taken in conjunction with SW 709/5709, A&D: Field Training.
