Prerequisite: Admitted to MSW Program.
Description
Students will learn to apply theories of the planned change process (assessment, intervention, evaluation) to individuals and groups across the life span. Students are introduced to the process of building and nurturing relationships with individuals and groups. Central to the course is an emphasis on self-awareness and consciousness. The exploration of the intersections of personal and professional ethics and values is stressed in this course. Issues of diversity are introduced both as a practice competency and a practice value and tenets.
