Description
In this course, we will examine how increased diversity within organizations has become a reality in American business, hwo effective diversity management initiatives will lead to increased organizational performance, and how diversity within organizations must be studied in light of both it opportunities and challenges. We analyze the process of managing diversity as a complex phenomenon that must be managed on a comprehensive, systemic levelwithin the organization in order to become a competitive business advantage. Specifically, we explore the intersection of diversity and the workplace both conceptually and experientially within the framework of the primary dimensions of diversity: gender, race, national orgin, age, religion and spirituality, disabilities and sexual identity.
