Is the US economy out of the woods yet? We know what the news outlets are saying but how do economists really measure recovery? Expand your knowledge of the economy beyond popularly quoted stock market indices by learning about the trends in output and income, jobs and unemployment, inflation and deflation and other important indicators of economic health and recovery. We will also look at a variety of problems in front of us such as the federal government budget deficit, the trade deficit, price inflation, continuing unemployment, job creation and other factors that influence the economy today.
