Description
The Fire Service Leadership Foundations for Leadership Certification program addresses the unique educational development needs of fire service professionals who seek to prepare, improve, or expand their leadership skills and fire service knowledge. Designed in cooperation with the Salt Lake Fire Alliance, this certificate requires participants to complete two phases of 2 and half day intensive training programs. Phase One of the training provides an opportunity to learn relevant leadership skills such as leadership principles, effective presentation skill, the basics of employment law, gaining an understanding of state and local governance, as well as the political role of a Fire Chief. The Fire Service Leadership Academy also provides a great opportunity to network with and learn from experiences of other fire service professionals from across the state. Both phases of Foundations for Leadership must be completed for certification.
