Description
Do you know what it feels like to be miles in the backcountry with no modern conveniences? Would you know what to do if you were hurt or lost? Join us during this wilderness course on staying safe and found. Learn survival skills such as map and compass reading, how to leave your campground as you found it, and how to match topographical features to the landscape. We will hike several trails within the Wasatch and camp overnight at Red Pine Lake. Instead of getting lost in the wilderness, you can get lost in Mother Nature's beauty and serenity. Course locations as noted below. Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up students at advertised locations. Supply list, instructions, and directions to drop-off sites will be provided at the class orientation.
