Examines tourism as a major economic engine, the recreation opportunity spectrum in the flagship park of the NPS system, competency in fundamental camping skills, hiking skills, outdoor cooking, travel techniques, Leave No Trace skills, and associated safety skills. Special fees for transportation, meals, camp fees etc. will be assessed at the first class meeting. A special fee of approximately $300 will be assessed at the first class meeting to cover all transportation, meals, and lodging fees.
