Description
This course introduces applied regression analysis and related techniques that are essential for conducting quantitative research in educational leadership and policy. The main topics are: simple analysis of variance (ANOVA), the assumptions of single and multiple regression models, OLS estimation, and statistical inference. Some advanced topics are also covered, including modeling interaction effects, qualitative (dummy) independent variables, logistical regressions, collinearity, model specification, and selection bias problems. In addition, students will develop data management and data analysis skills with Stata— one of the most popular statistical software packages.
