Description
Introduction to photography emphasizes the use of the camera and its application as a visual art form. Basic photography will emphasize the use of camera operation, including shutter speed control, depth of field, lenses, camera formats, and films from a personal perspective. The student is taught how to see photographically, incorporating elements of design, framing, composition, and perspective. Basic black and white film and paper development are taught. Students are required to have a 35mm manual mode camera, adjustable lens aperture, and shutter speeds.
