Description
We are biologically designed to protect ourselves from harm and risks. Research shows that mostly subconsciously, we are constantly assessing our relative status, monitoring how we stack up against others. Brain science has amply demonstrated that fear inhibits learning and cooperation. This class will take learners through the research of Teaming in Psychological Safety. Through experiential learning, team members will be introduced to four zones that might show up in their workplace and team environments. Team members will learn how to recognize what zone they might be in and the impact it has on their learning capabilities, and to facilitate intelligent conversation to drive themselves and the team towards the learning zone. During the class, learners will received of overview and education on the psychological safety zones, intelligent conversations, and leadership tool kit. The session will conclude with an action plan designed to help with creating a more psychologically safe team environment.
