Description
Join us for this foraging class that focuses on local medicinal wild plants with a local Master Gardener and wild forager. Enjoy a walking tour in which you'll learn how to identify, harvest, and wildcraft plants; their growing habits; their medicinal value; and how to safely use them at home. Then experience herbal wildcrafting while your instructor leads you through medicinal wild yarrow salve. Finally, you'll learn about rosehips and make your own wild rosehip tea to drink. Your instructor will demonstrate how to make each recipe, and you'll leave class with your own product to enjoy at home. This is not a medical course and should not take the place of any treatments prescribed by your doctor, but it is a good way to understand the nutritional and health benefits of certain plants.
