Description
Students in the 2nd and 3rd year of the Economics Doctoral Program are required to regularly attend a research workshop and to lead at least one session of their preferred workshop per year (typically by presenting their own work or by presenting and discussing others’ work). Students are also required to submit a “research idea” by the end of their second year and an “extended research abstract” by the end of their third year. ECON 7900 provides academic credit (on a pass/fail basis) to students who complete these requirements. Students typically enroll in the second semester of their third year. ECON 7900 counts as an economics elective course in the student’s program of study.
