Description
This 90-minute presentation will show what women experienced during America's Great Depression. The presentation will start with women who suffered poverty, and often the loss of their homes, which forced them to migrate with their families to California. Then, we will focus on women who worked either in the private sector of the nation's economy or held positions in New Deal programs. Finally, the 90-minute class will demonstrate examples of women who served in high-level positions that allowed them to make significant contributions to the government's attempt to end the country's hard times.
