Description
A Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship is a model of clinical education in which students participate in the comprehensive care of patients over time, engage in continuity of relationships with preceptors, patients, health system & the surrounding community, while meeting core clinical competencies across multiple disciplines simultaneously. The specialties included in this introductory clinical experience include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Surgery. Settings for clinical experiences will be predominately outpatient with intermittent inpatient immersions. The Urban Underserved Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship will focus on medical care in underserved communities in the greater Salt Lake area.
