The class meets in UAC 504(Lab). Course Description: This course presents an introduction to the fundamentals of 2D animation techniques. With an early introductory hands-on fundamental drawing lesson, using sketch pad and pencil. Drawing skills is a plus but will teach first time beginners to learn fundamental drawing. The techniques of TVPaint (2D animation software) & Photoshop (digital imaging) will be introduced with our brand-new Wacom Cintique 24-inch drawing screens, and Mac based desktop computers as the means to produce animated exercises and assignments. Studio based style one on one in class critiques, will learn about fundamental animation timing, dialogue, and weight. Students will understand various animation styles (2D traditional hand drawn), & 3D Maya animation. 2D Animated short film video screenings during class.
